Double-bill of horror. In ' Hostel' (2005), three backpackers are on a tour of Europe when they hear of a Slovakian youth hostel that is rumoured to provide some of the best hedonistic pleasures on the continent. When they arrive there, however, they are soon plunged into a living hell, as the hostel turns out to be the site of a horrific club where jaded rich people can pay huge sums of money to perform unspeakable tortures. In 'The Hitcher' (2007), the remake of the 1986 cult horror classic, Jim Halsey and Grace Andrews (Zachary Knighton and Sophia Bush) are a young couple on a road trip across country who decide to help a hitchhiker, John Ryder (Sean Bean), caught in a downpour. Unfortunately, the hitcher turns out to be a crazed killer intent on murdering the couple. After finally managing to shed their assailant, the pair discover that Ryder has committed more murders and framed them for the crimes. Now prime suspects in a murder hunt, the couple are forced to track down Ryder in an effort to clear their names.
