Noir thriller based on the '60s political intrigue in France surrounding the disappearance of the Moroccan dissident Mehdi Ben Barka. A year after his decision to go straight and get into the documentary film business, the body of ex-con George Figon is found in a Paris apartment in 1965. It is revealed that he had been producer on a documentary about de-colonisation with Ben Barka as historical advisor. When Figon had turned up for a meeting with Barka, it quickly became apparent that the whole film idea was an elaborately put together hoax.
