Genghis Khan conquered more of the world than any other man in history. His brilliance as a military strategist enabled him to unite the Mongol tribes and outmanoeuvre every army that dared to come before him. Disc 5. Leonardo Da Vinci 1 hours 30 minutes Known as 'The Mind of the Renaissance; da vinci was an extraordinary artist scientist and inventor whose limitless desire for knowledge saw him catapulted out of obscurity and into the courts of kings. Disc 6. Winston Churchill & Adolf Hitler 2 hours 30 minutes There are few images as iconic as that of Winston Churchill during the years of World War II leading the people of Britain through waht he described as their darkest hour. However this wartime Prime Minister wasn't always regarded quite so highly. This programme not only looks at the most famous attempts to assassinate the Fuhrer but also examines how high ranking Nazi officials escaped from his bunker after he had shot himself. Disc 7. Bernard Montgomery & Lawrence of Arabia 1 hour 40 minutes This is a profile of one of Britain's greatest war heroes. Troops under 'Monty's' command were largely responsible for the expulsion of the Axis forces from North Afica and he was later in charge of all Allied ground forces during Operation Overlord. Thomas Edward Lawrence was one of the most talented and enigmatic figures of the twentieth century. He was the guiding force behind the Arab Revolt which changed the face of the Middle East forever. Disc 8. Martin Luther King & Nelson Mandela 1 hour 30 minutes Almost immediately after a sniper's bullet claimed the life of Martin Luther King there were charges of goverment cover ups.
