From the Gordon Highlanders of 1899 through the fishing industry at its peak (both on and offshore) and on to the start of the oil boom this look back at Aberdeen and Deeside reminds us of a bygone age. There is a 1959 trip from Aberdeen by steam train to Ballater calling in to Cults Peterculter and Banchory before going on to Braemar by motor bus and a rather romantic view of Aberdeen in the early 1970s.
