This fantasy action adventure, based on the classic fairy tale, Jack and the Beanstalk, tells the story of Jack, a young farm hand who accidentally opens a gateway into another world.
He finds himself inadvertently thrown into the midst of total chaos when an age old war involving a fearsome race of Giant's (thought only to exist in legend and now unleashed in full force on Earth) is rekindled. Not only is he forced into fierce battle to prevent these unrelenting warriors from reclaiming a Kingdom on Earth they lost centuries ago, but he must also fight... for his life and for the love of a beautiful princess he endeavours to rescue from their vicious clutches.
Jack the Giant Slayer was directed by Bryan Singer (who also directed the X-Men franchise, The Usual Suspects and Superman Returns). It stars Nicholas Hoult (Jack) and Eleanor Tomlinson (Princess Isabelle) with Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy and Ian McShane.
