Jefferson Starship evolved from the sixties and early seventies band Jefferson Airplane and the initial line up of Jefferson Starship included former Airplane members Paul Kantner Grace Slick John Barbata David Frieberg and Marty Balin. The band went on through the seventies and into the eighties to have massive mainstream success both with albums and also live performances. Over the years however many members have come and gone leaving only Paul Kantner remaining from the initial line up and even he left the band for a short period during the eighties. Live At The... Soiled Dove was filmed in 2003 and features the line up of Paul Kantner alongside guitarist Slick Aguilar vocalist Diana Mngano and keyboardist and bassist Chris Smith.
