The life of Joe Louis unfolds in this feature film (starring Coley Wallace as Joe Louis) from the 'Brown Bomber's' humble beginning as the son of a cotton picker from Alabama. Through his early boxing career which began in 1934 he won 27 bouts knocking out 23 of his opponents. He held the heavyweight championship for almost 12 years from 1937 - 1949. He defended the championship 25 times during that period and won 20 by knockout.
