British thriller starring Gil Bellows as Joey One-Way, who writes a play during a prolonged spell in prison for the murder of his teenage bride Kimba (Moneca Delain). His appeal for early parole is aided by New York film producer Markie Mann (Esai Morales), who has optioned Joey's play for a film. As he re-enters the outside world and sets about adapting the play for the big screen, Joey becomes inexorably drawn to Markie's wife Fleur (Lisa Ray) and the two embark on a doomed affair that threatens to lead Joey straight back into deep trouble. Shaun Parkes co-stars as Joey's prison cellmate Clinique.
