Eric Lartigau co-writes and directs this French comedy. The story follows married couple Gigi (Karin Viard) and Rodolphe (François Damiens) Bélier and their two children Paula (Louane Emera) and Quentin (Luca Gelberg). They could be mistaken for a normal family as they run their remote farm for a living but both parents and young Quentin are all deaf and heavily rely on sixteen-year-old Paula as their interpreter. When Paula's eccentric music teacher (Eric Elmosnino) discovers her natural gift for singing she is forced to decide whether to leave her family, who depend on her so much, to take part in a prestigious singing contest in Paris that could potentially give her a shot at stardom.
