The debut feature of Argentinian director Pablo Giorgelli, this deceptively simple drama follows a lonely truck driver as he transports a load of acacia wood from Paraguay to Buenos Aires. It is a journey that Rubén (German de Silva) has made many times before, but this time will be different: he's been asked by his boss to give a lift to young Paraguayan woman Jacinta (Hebe Duarte). When he finds out at the last minute that Jacinta has brought along her baby daughter, Anahi (Nayra Calle Mamani), Rubén says nothing, but his face shows his instinctive displeasure. However, as the kilometres roll by and the silence between them becomes more companiable, Rubén's frozen inability to acknowledge or express emotion gradually begins to soften.
