In 'Son of Lassie' (1945), Lassie's son 'Laddie' is separated from his master in German occupied Norway in 1942. Finally, 'Courage of Lassie' (1946), follows the fortunes of a pup, Bill, separated from his mother, who is finally rescued by a young girl.
