Remake of Italian romantic drama 'L'Ultimo Bacio (2002)' about a man on the edge of marriage who indulges his doubts and pays a heavy price. Zach Braff (Scrubs, Garden City) stars as Michael, a thirtyish man on the verge of 'growing up'. He's set to marry his beautiful, perfect, pregnant fiancée, Jenna (Jacinda Barrett) has a secure job, a fine home but there's something scaring him about the thought that this is it for him, it's all knuckle down and do the right thing from here on in. Just then the beautiful Kim, (Rachel Bilson) appears on the scene smelling of freedom, making him compare their two lives. His comes out looking rather less appealing and he wants to be part of hers. Infidelity, trust, betrayal, coming-of-age and the nature of contentment are all explored in what could hardly be called a romantic comedy, though it has its light moments.
Nearing his 30th birthday, Michael worries that there are no surprises left in his life. When he finds himself at the centre of a romantic triangle with his live-in girlfriend and a vibrant college student, he has to decide if pursuing this new flame is worth the risk of losing the girl he loves and the life they had planned...
