Their debut album Hybrid Theory was certified Diamond sales status in the USA in 2005 as well as reaching multi-platinum sales levels in several other countries. Their following album Meteora continued the band's success and topped the Billboard charts worldwide. Both albums saw the band combining alternative and nu metal styles as well as using basic elements from hiphop alternative rock and even electronica by utilizing programming and... synthesizers. Their third album Minutes to Midnight sold over 625 000 copies in its first week of release making it one of the most successful albums for debut sales in recent years.
