Darkly comic mockumentary exploring the voyeuristic and mercenary aspects of reality TV. A documentary crew headed by filmmaker Rex (David Krumholtz) follows ambitious TV network executive Katy Courbet (Eva Mendes) as she attempts to produce a daringly controversial reality show in which the contestants play Russian Roulette live on air for a cash prize of five million dollars.
