Nick Gomez directs this made-for-TV drama starring Christina Ricci as the infamous Lizzie Borden. Borden was the prime suspect for the brutal murders of her father Andrew (Stephen McHattie) and stepmother Abby (Sara Botsford) in Fall River in the summer of 1892. The crimes were committed with an axe, something many believed to be beyond Lizzie, an apparently mild-mannered Sunday School teacher. However, the weight of evidence pointing at Lizzie as the killer and the growing interest of the press and public in the case, made a trial all but inevitable. How will Lizzie and her sister Emma (Clea DuVall) cope under the intense scrutiny?
