Looper is a futuristic action-packed sci-fi thriller set in the US in 2044. A group of criminals become aware that time-travel technology, which is on the verge of being invented, is likely to be developed within the next 30 years (though its general use will be illegal). They set up a black market style organisation whereby victims from decades into the future are sent back in time to 2044 where hired assassins called Loopers lie in wait ready to shoot them, carefully disposing the bodies and eliminating all traces of them, in return for an incredibly lucrative reward.... The only catch is that their loops must eventually be closed meaning that all Loopers will finally have to kill their own future selves.
The story revolves around Joe Simmonds who finds himself caught up in that exact scenario; the younger version of himself (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) attempting to track down and kill his older self (Bruce Willis). As the old Joseph dodges death he sets about finding a way to alter certain historical events.
Looper also stars Emily Blunt, Jeff Daniels and Paul Dano and was directed by Rian Johnson.

Looper the moderately paced futuristic thriller. Worth a watch, Joseph Gordon-Levitt grows in his ability with each film, he makes. Bruce seems slower, less agile, but carries off his role, as always, as a tough guy, with a little bit of love. Emily Blunt's southern accent leaves a little to be desired at times, but she's likeable and definitely watchable. All in all a film with good pace, a sensible plot, the only thing I wasn't impressed with, was the ending, it seemed to end abruptly, feeling like there was something missing.
