Classic Western adventure starring Glenn Ford. One strand of the plot follows modern-day fortune hunter Barry Storm (William Prince) as he tries to discover the location of the legendary Lost Dutchman gold mine, owned by his long-dead grandfather, Jacob 'Dutchy' Walz (Glenn Ford). Interwoven with Storm's search are flashback sequences to 1880, following Walz as he goes about acquiring the mine, prepared to use any means, fair or foul, to achieve his ends. Walz meets his match when he falls for gold-digger Julia Thomas (Ida Lupino), whose treachery knows no bounds, but will she foil Storm as well?
