Dan (Greg Davies) is a childish fool trapped in an adult's life. Dan (Davies) hates his job as a teacher where he's forced to repeat himself in the same lessons day after day, but things aren't much better at home where, following his dad's death, he has to deal with his Aunt Nesta (Stephanie Cole) who's recently moved in with him. His dysfunctional friends Jo (Roisin Conaty) and Brian (Mike Wozniak) aren't much help either as it seems everything in Dan's life is conspiring to keep this man down.
