Biopic about the quirkiest, most maligned man in showbiz - Michael Jackson. Cataloguing the rise and ultimate fall from grace of one of pop music's greatest success stories. From his beginnings in the Jackson Five, Michael Jackson (Flex Alexander) grows up in the public glare - rarely a harbinger of evenly adjusted adults. When he goes solo however, it seems that Michael might be the exception to the showbiz rule that child star = freaky, washed-up adult. His first solo albums take the globe by the ear and march it to a record shop but he struggles to repeat their success. All the while, behind the mask, Michael is retreating into himself and questing after a childhood he never knew, building a theme park, hanging out with children, his doomed marriage to Lisa Marie Presley, the endless plastic surgery and keeping a pet monkey. In the relentless glare of the flashbulbs, Michael's career stalls and his reputation approaches tatters. The world ultimately takes a dim view of adults who like to hang out with children, and Michael is crucified mercilessly, his star plummeting at ten times the speed it went into orbit.
