    I love this film because I have such empathy for charlie and the way that he interacts with the world. And trust me this comes from someone going through therapy now but this film is just great in the way that it has belly laughs and such sad melancolly that it deserves to be in people collections .

Mild-mannered police officer Charlie Baileygates (Jim Carrey) is given the job of taking the beautiful Irene P. White (Renee Zellweger) upstate to face false criminal charges.
