Documentary examining the Irish Easter Rising against British rule and the role played in the struggle by revolutionary leader Michael Collins. The Easter Rising of 1916 was one of the first attempts to secure Irish independence by means of physical force. The uprising was eventually put down by the British, with Collins nearly executed for his role in it, however in subsequent years Collins and the struggle for independence would find more success.
