Three films about the ascent of Lakeland's peaks. In 'Century on the Crags', broadcaster and climber Alan Hankinson takes a look back at the last century of rock-climbing in the Lake District. He focuses on the top climbers from each generation and looks at certain climbs (including Innominate Crag, Napes Needles, Central Butress on Scafell Crag and Honister Wall on Buckstone Howe). There is also footage from a climb at Napes Needle dating from 1913, probably the world's first rock-climbing film. In 'Naylor's Run', spectacular aerial photography and land based camera operators catch 60-year-old Jos Naylor running the 60 highest peaks in the Lake District. The run was almost 110 miles and involved nearly 40,000 feet of ascent. Chris Bonington presents 'Lakeland Rock', a collection of films featuring five major climbs in the Lake District. These include an ascent of Incantations on Gable Crag by Pete Whillance and Dave Armstrong, alongside tributes to Don Whillans and Bill Peascod.
