Bruce Campbell, star of 'The Evil Dead' and 'Spiderman' trilogies, plays himself in this 2007 comedy horror movie. The mining town of Gold Lick is being terrorised by Guan-di, the ancient Chinese evil spirit and protector of the dead. Infuriated by the desecration of their graves by youngsters, Guan-di has come back to protect the spirits of Chinese miners, who died in a cave-in many years before. Bruce Campbell-obssessed Jeff Graham (Taylor Sharpe), who really seems to think that Bruce can slay devils, brings him to the town and sets him loose on Guan-di. Bruce at first thinks that the whole thing is a publicity stunt, but quickly discovers the horrific truth. Does he cut and run or does he try to live up to his movie persona and become the hero in real life?
Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play. Something evil is stirring in the small mining town of Gold Lick, and it s not happy. Guan-di, the Chinese protector of the dead, has been awakened by reckless teenagers, and now his bloody crusade to wipe out the towns entire population can only be stopped by one man Bruce Campbell (the guy who starred in all three Evil Dead movies and Bubba Ho-tep), B-movie star and deadbeat ex-husband extraordinaire, who s recruited to be their unwitting savior. When our hero faces off against a dark force more fearsome than a Hollywood agent, the laughs and screams start flying!
