Psychological drama about sexual politics, directed by Anne Fontaine and starring Fanny Ardant, Gérard Depardieu and Emmanuelle Béart. Tormented by the suspicion that her husband Bernard (Depardieu) is being unfaithful to her, Catherine (Ardant), a bourgeois Parisian businesswoman, seeks the help of a beautiful but mysterious prostitute, Nathalie (Béart), to uncover the truth once and for all. As she hears the intimate details about her husband's meetings with Nathalie, she begins to learn more about herself and her own desires - but when she starts to lose control over Nathalie's actions, she begins to question who is deceiving whom.
