Collection of documentaries in which wildlife scientist Pat Spain - or, as he is sometimes known, The Beast Man- journeys in search of fearsome mythical creatures. Among the creatures Spain sets out to look for are the African Swamp Monster, the Mongolian Death Worm and the Ape Man of Sumatra. On his quest to find out the truth underlying the myths, Spain embeds himself within local tribes, the culture and the wilderness itself.
