Marilyn Monroe and Joseph Cotten star in this classic drama as ill-suited couple Rose and George Loomis who are staying in a cottage next to happy newlyweds Ray and Polly Cutler (Casey Adams and Jean Peters) near Niagara Falls. While sightseeing, Ray and Polly witness Rose kissing her young lover Patrick (Richard Allen) and hear them plot to kill her husband, with a plan to make it look like suicide. When George goes missing, Rose is asked to identify a body and discovers it's actually Patrick and that her scorned husband is out for revenge.
