In a remote Turkish village an ancient blood feud between two families has finally been put to rest and a marriage arranged to seal the union; a man just released from a life in prison has been pledged to a teenage girl he has never met. It is their wedding night and there are customs and rituals to be observed. Turkish drama following a newlywed couple struggling with the pressures of family tradition. After a long stint in prison for killing his mother and another man to protect his family's honour, Damat (Ilyas Salman) returns to his home village where a marriage has been arranged between himself and a young woman, Gelin (Dilan Aksüt). The ceremony itself goes to plan but when the newlyweds are led into their bridal room where the consummation is to take place, Gelin is reluctant to go through with the act and attempts to delay it as long as she can.

Having just reached puberty and forced to marry, a bride (Dilan Aksut) is terrified of what her future holds for her. Her husband-to-be is more that fifty years older than she is and has just been released from prison. At first, she cries and even tries to resist but to no avail. As she sits alone in her nuptial chamber, she experiences sheer horror and the realities of that horror start after her groom steps into the room. The Bride does all she can to distract the groom with tales to avoid their consummation and as dawn comes nearer and nearer, the night finally reaches a shattering conclusion.
