Nine (2009) is an Oscar nominated romantic film directed and produced by Rob Marshall and based on the 1982 award-winning musical written by Arthur Kopit.
The fiery, famous film director Guido Contini finds himself struggling to uncover enough creative vision to write a script for his latest film venture titled "Italia". With only one week left until the filming starts, the media is guessing that this film is going to be like his last two, an almighty flop! Guido's writer's block isn't helped the fact that he's being torn in every direction by his... wife, his mistress, his muse and an entire film crew. To escape the pressures and try to find harmony and inspiration, Guido escapes to the countryside, but instead of writing he finds himself reminiscing about the women who have moulded his life.
