Cult director Gregg Araki serves up another slice of sexy surrealism. Dark Smith (James Duval) is infatuated by the free-spirited, bisexual Mel, but she is far too adventurous to settle down with one person. Looking for alternative objects of desire, Dark stumbles upon L.A. hang-out The Hole, and finds the alluring Montgomery amongst its strange clientele. Events take a bizarre turn as 'Apocalypse Day' approaches, and Dark's entourage begin to prepare for the end of the world.
