Bollywood gangster drama. In the 1970s and '80s, Sultan Mirza (Ajay Devgun) is one of Mumbai's most powerful gangsters. Having worked his way up from a boyhood of poverty, he has taken on the mantle of 'Messiah of Mumbai', owing to his reputation for looking after the city's poor. When policeman's son Shoaib Khan (Emraan Hashmi) comes to work for Mirza, he soon makes himself indispensable and Mirza comes to rely on him as his right-hand man. But a power struggle is building up between the two men that threatens to destroy them both and cause shockwaves through the city that depends on them.
