This adaptation of Alexander Pushkin's classic novel stars Ralph Fiennes in the title role and is directed by Fiennes' sister Martha. Disillusioned with life in St. Petersburg, Onegin moves to a country estate he has inherited. As he attempts to fit in with the rural community, he is surprised by a beautiful neighbour's (Liv Tyler) declaration of love for him. His decision to spurn her advances is one that comes back to haunt him, as a tragic scenario unfolds.
