The spectacular open-air Arena di Verona is the setting for this production of Verdi's last tragic opera Otello a work some consider to be his masterpiece. In this recording from 1982 Otello is sung by the Russian tenor Vladimir Atlantov rightly famous for his magnificent interpretation of the title role.
