Outlander is a Si Fi-Viking hybrid set in Norway in 709AD. During the reign of the Vikings an alien spaceship crash-lands on earth and from its wreckage emerges Kainan (James Caviezel), who they mistake for an enemy and take prisoner. Little do the people know, but he is the least of their worries as they face a real and deadly enemy named the Moorwen, that stowaway aboard Kainan's ship. At large, the dangerous alien wreaks havoc on neighbouring villages and they soon find that their primitive weapons are useless against him. Historical sci-fi action adventure set in the time of the Vikings, starring Jim Caviezel as a 'man who fell to earth'. When Kainan (Caviezel), a traveller from a distant galaxy, crash lands on Earth, he brings more than good wishes with him. He's accompanied by a nasty, giant alien known as the Moorwen that's bent on causing havoc and destruction. Although Kainan has issues with his eighth century Nordic hosts, he soon joins forces with them, fusing his advanced, otherworldly technology with their Iron Age weaponry in an attempt to bring down the brutal Moorwen.
