The day before her heart operation, twelve-year-old Lucy Rose reads J.M. Barrie's novel of Peter Pan to a crowd of sick children in the hospital, and she goes to sleep with thoughts of the classic tale in her head. Lucy dreams this version of Peter Pan into existence and the story is retold through the young girl's imagination. The magical story cuts back and forth between Lucy's modern day struggles and the fantasy land of Neverland, with the common theme being positivity and belief.

Diarmuid Lawrence directs this modern reimagining of the classic tale of Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie. Lucy Rose (Hazel Doupe) is a very ill young girl at the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. As her heart begins to fail on the eve of her operation, Lucy reads the story of Peter Pan to some of the younger patients and begins to fear that she too may never grow up. Her retelling of the story takes all of the children on a magical adventure to Neverland, in which Lucy becomes Wendy and guides the lost Peter Pan (Zak Sutcliffe). Her surgeon, Dr. Wylie (Stanley Tucci) transforms into Captain Hook in this inventive retelling that demonstrates the importance of stories. The cast also features Laura Fraser and Paloma Faith.
