25BC Rome. One year on in the eternal city... Tempus fugit. Emperor Augustus Caesar is still the most powerful man in the known world. And languishing somewhere near the other end of the food chain are three lowly plebs: Marcus, Stylax and their feckless slave, Grumio (Tom Rosenthal, Joel Fry and Ryan Sampson). As the ancestors of generation rent , they live in a squalid block in the worst part of town presided over by the ruthless Landlady (Maureen Lipman). All eight episodes from the third series of the TV comedy following the exploits of three young men in ancient Rome. Whilst others revel in the grandeur, opulence and splendour of Rome, low-on-the-totem-pole Marcus (Tom Rosenthal), Stylax (Joel Fry) and their apathetic slave Grumio (Ryan Sampson) are more interested in doing what lads the world over do - which usually involves women. In this series, the boys come up against ferocious lions in the games, Grumio is cast in a play and as a crime wave sweeps through Rome, the gang join a military fitness class. The episodes are: 'The Beasts', 'Justin Junior', 'The Vestal', 'The Cupid', 'The Crime Wave', 'Jugball', 'The New Master' and 'The Weatherist'.
