French horror and debut feature from writer and director Julia Ducournau. The film follows Justine (Garance Marillier) as she heads off to college to study veterinary science. Being a strict vegetarian, she is shocked to find out about one of the student initiation rituals of eating a raw rabbit kidney. Desperate to try and fit in, Justine completes the ritual but immediately becomes unwell and vows never to touch meat again. However, when the college doctor suggests fasting to get over her sickness, Justine suddenly becomes aware of a strange and powerful yearning to consume raw flesh. The cast also includes Ella Rumpf, Rabah Nait Oufella and Bouli Lanners.
