The story of a group of French Italian American and Brazilian racing car drivers who all added to the colour and excitement of the Grand Prix and sports car racing of the 1950's including Maurice Trintignant Harry Schell Eugenio Castellotti Luigi Musso Cliff Allison and Bruce Halford. Follow the highs and lows of these drivers who all have their own drama filled stories to tell as they battle fierce competition rivalry and friction to be the first to cross the finishing line and earn their place in history. Italy's Luigi Musso progressed from small capacity Stangelliuni... cars through to Maserati and eventually on to Ferrari's Formula One team. After recovering from a crash at the Nurburgring Musso who had great self belief and was carrying the pressure of Italy's national hopes went on to win the Targa Florio in 1957 whilst Bruce Halford was one of the last great Grand Prix privateers driving his own Maserati 250F.
