Uplifting sports drama based on a true story, directed by Hollywood filmmaker Mike Tollin. Set in a small town in South Carolina in the 1970s, the film stars Ed Harris as Harold Jones, a football coach at the local high school. When he invites mentally-challenged and socially-ostracised James 'Radio' Kennedy (Cuba Gooding Jr.) to help out with the football team, the other players are less than keen, but over time Radio's involvement with the team transforms him from a shy, troubled young man into a champion and local hero, inspiring not only his team but his whole community.
