Betty (Isabelle Huppert) and Victor (Michel Serrault) are a couple who travel across France in their mobile home living off modest scams and cons. When Betty meets Maurice (Francois Cluzet), who has a briefcase containing 5 million Swiss francs, she surmises that he has stolen it from his company. She and Victor determine to obtain the money for themselves, but soon find themselves out of their depth when they accompany Maurice to Guadeloupe to deliver the case.
