Horror in which a young woman who has recently suffered a bereavement finds herself the captive of an unhinged couple bent on torture. Mara (Michelle Page) has recently lost her father and travels to Rogue River to honour his request to have his ashes scattered there. By the riverside she meets Jon (Bill Moseley), a local man who seems sympathetic to her plight but informs Mara that she requires a permit to scatter ashes in the area. Jon offers to help her obtain the permit but insists she stay for dinner first. The unhappy Mara consequently finds herself trapped in a house with Jon and his equally homicidal wife, Lea (Lucinda Jenney), and engaged in a desperate struggle for survival.
