Ruthless DVD

| DVD

Horace Vendig shows himself to the world as a rich philanthropist. In fact, the history of his rise from his unhappy broken home shows this to be far from the case. After being taken in by richer neighbours he started to exhibit an obsessive and selfish urge to make more and more money, loving and leaving women at will to further this end.

A low-budget film noir from Edgar Ulmer. Ruthless self-made millionaire Horace Vendig hosts an extravagant party at his home and invites his one-time friend Vic Lambdin and his girlfriend. Vic had managed to take himself out of Vendig's sphere of influence before the latter's driving ambition left a wake of shattered lives, heartbreak and suicide - and feels as though he is making a mistake by returning to the fold this one time.
