First season of the classic BBC drama following a radio detective who attempts to help those who call into his show solve mysteries. Eddie Shoestring (Trevor Eve) is a man with an interesting past; a former computer programmer who suffered a nervous breakdown before returning to work as a private eye. He receives his big break when he is asked to present Radio West's 'private ear' segment and begins investigating mysteries such as the disappearance of callers' family members and old, unsolved murder cases.
