Documentary weaving together three interrelated stories about Bombay, India's most vibrant and complex city, and the burgeoning Bollywood film industry it is home to. In one strand, the film crew go behind the scenes on the set of a star-studded gangster film being made by director Apoorva Lakhia. In the second, retired chief of police AA Khan (aka 'Bombay's Dirty Harry') narrates an examination of the rise of the city's underworld throughout the 1990s. The third storyline gives an emotional profile of one of India's most beloved and troubled stars, heartthrob film actor Sanjay Dutt, who faces terrorist-related criminal charges just as his latest blockbuster, 'Shootout', is about to begin filming.
