This is the worst shrek film by far and I can now confirm this as I have just watched the final movie at the cinema's. What could of been utter brilliance with the shrek babies was made in too an unfunny boring situation. It lacks what the second and the first had. 1. being the story. Number 1 and 2 actually had a plot to the story, shrek the turd, sorry third had a very basic plot (he has babies now...meh) and some other subplots. 2.the characters. The king arthur character was truly terrible, unlike number 2's fairy godmother who was so funny and the songs she sang we're just super.

Anyway I've done my review but ill finish off by saying if you don't want to ruin you're view of shrek don't watch this one... if you have them im so sorry that I was to late.

This was not as good as I expected it to be. The first two movies were better because Andrew Adamson directed, and in this one, Andrew has gone out. Starring Mike Myres, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas, Rupert Everett, Justin Timberlake, Julie Andrews and a tiny bit of John Cleese gives you, SHREK THE THIRD.
King Harold (John Cleese)dies. Shrek (Mike Myres) and Fiona (Cameron Diaz) are next in line for the throne. Shrek, however does not want to be king. Only one person can replace Harold, which is Artie Pendragon (Justin Timberlake). Shrek, Donkey (Eddie Murphy)and Puss (Antonio Banderas) go and look for Artie to bring him to the throne. However this is an oppurtuinity for Charming (Rupert Everett) to become King. Can Shrek save the day?

Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play. In the third installment of the wildly popular SHREK series of computer-animated movies, everyone's favorite hygienically challenged green ogre (voiced by Mike Myers) faces both parental and royal responsibility when his wife, Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz), finds out that she is pregnant and that her father, King Harold (John Cleese), is on his death bed. The shock of these revelations leads Shrek on a journey with his loyal companions Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) to seek out another heir to the throne--an awkward young boy named Artie Pendragon (Justin Timberlake). Waiting in the wings is the scheming Prince Charming (Rupert Everett), who sees the perfect opportunity to make his own bid for power and rallies a villainous crew to attack the castle. Taking over the reins from director Andrew Adamson, Raman Hui and Chris Miller fill the land of Far, Far Away with even more fairy-tale characters in SHREK THE THIRD. Although this takes away from Shrek's own screen time, it introduces the highly amusing Princess Squad--which includes Snow White (Amy Poehler) and Cinderella (Amy Sedaris)--and the bullying Lancelot (John Krasinski), among others. And, as always, this SHREK outing features many pop-culture references, even managing to nod to two horror films (THE EXORCIST and ROSEMARY’S BABY) in a single shot. The movie also allows for more hilarious interplay between Donkey and Puss in Boots, resulting in a comedic adventure tale that, while over-populated, is still undeniably entertaining.

Third outing for the computer-generated ogre franchise. When his frog-in-law suddenly croaks, Shrek (voice of Mike Myers) embarks on another whirlwind adventure with Donkey (voice of Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (voice of Antonio Banderas) to find the rightful heir to the throne, the awkward Arthur (voice of Justin Timberlake). Unfortunately the envious Prince Charming (voice of Rupert Everett) has designs on the throne himself, joining with other fairytale villains in a coup d'etat to seize the crown. Can Shrek, with a magically misguided Merlin (voice of Eric Idle), a powerful posse of princesses, and a bundle of unexpected arrivals, manage to save the day?
