Skyfall, the 23rd film in the James Bond action adventure thriller franchise, was directed by Sam Mendes and stars Daniel Craig for the third time as secret agent James Bond 007. Judi Dench takes a very central role this time providing yet another (her seventh) enormously outstanding contribution as spy-chief M, along with a very strong cast list which includes Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney among others.
A series of unfortunate events brings about political pressure causing M's position and command to come under attack. With treachery and... conspiracy at every turn, and the return of the loathsome Silva (portrayed by Bardem) a heinous villain from her past who is intent on haunting her present, M finds she now has only one person in the organisation she can trust and that is her ever loyal agent - 007. MI6 is under attack from a cyber-terrorist and Bond accompanied by field agent Eve (Naomie Harris) is charged with tracking down the perpetrator, eliminating the threat and restoring strength and stability to MI6.
Skyfall is a spectacularly action-packed, hugely enjoyable film with all the usual expected extras; exciting chase scenes, alluring glamour, a breath-taking cataclysmic finale plus a superbly outstanding theme song provided by popular British singer/songwriter; Adele. Viewers will find themselves both shaken, and stirred!

SOMETIMES the old ways are the best. From Adele's award winning Shirley Bassey-esque title song to the film paying homage to the 22 previous films for the 50th anniversary simply by being a great, old-school Bond film. Throw in Bardem who is the perfect Bond villain: both charismatic and just enough humanity to offset the pure evil.
Director Sam Mendes has done a masterful job of pulling this story together. Skyfall might run for nearly two and a half hours, but the tightly edited film only feels like 90 minutes. Enjoy!
