Somers Town by BAFTA winning director Shane Meadows is a passionate coming-of-age movie that shot in stunning black and white and pictures a working class England full of hope and possibility. It follows two teenagers; tough Tomo a runaway from Nottingham and shy, Polish Marek who lives in Somers Town - an area between Euston Station and St Pancras - close to where his hard-drinking dad works on a new rail link.
Over the course of a blistering summer, the two unlikely companions form a friendship where they both fall for the same girl and spend their time... arguing over who loves her more. With nowhere to live Tomo hides away in Marek's bedroom - but it's only a matter of time before his father finds out what's going on. From the director of "This Is England" comes this hilarious and heart-warming tale of friendship and growing up in London's Somers Town. [show more]
