Sound of the Sky DVD

| DVD

Inspired by a moving performance from a trumpeter in her nation’s army - Kanata finds herself joining up and becomes assigned to a platoon stationed in the fortress in the town of Seize. Along with a troupe of other female soldiers she serves different roles in the community. First they must maintain the fortress, secondly contribute to the traditions of the city since all are young females and the folklore tells that the young maidens kept a demon under control, and last but not least they must also be prepared for the very unlikely scenario that they’re attacked.

All 12 episodes of the Japanese anime detailing the adventures of an all-girl army platoon in a post-Armageddon world. In the town of Sieze the 1121st Platoon, comprised entirely of teenage girls, provides protection to the handful of survivors of a catastrophic war that has laid waste to the world. When 15-year-old bugle-player Kanata joins the platoon, she is taken under the wing of Master Sergeant Rio Kazumiya, who is only 17 herself. But will the girls have time to train themselves before they come face to face with the enemy?
