I bearly remember this when it was first aired in the late 80's when I used to stay up late to watch it. I remembered it as a dark and menancing cop show in space full of murders committed in nasty futuristic ways and was looking forward to watching it again. I was not disappointed.
Many years later it is still a good show, not quite as dark as I remember and a little dated in the props and internal sets department, but the outside sets and some of the effects are good. (think early red dwarf moon scapes etc)
The acting and dialog is also good, although there are periods of silence, harking back to 70's style, which by todays standards is unusual and the way the actors talk or argue over the top of each other is strange to begin with, but you soon get riveted to the story and get used to the unusual style.
It definitely deserved a second series, which unfortunately it wasn't given, and is certainly worth buying.
