A visit through the alps on a railway system which operates 2000 metres above sea level. In the lower ranges of the alps there is a rack railway operating. The steam engines operating this line were built between 1897 and 1902 and are still in daily use. Through steep and difficult terrain the railway climbs 1200 metres. At half the distance water is refilled. Two tunnel systems have to be passed until it reaches the top of the mountain. Have a look at the new rail car as well. Enjoy this beautiful ride through the marvellous mountains of the Austrian Alps.
