The cliche 'Flying Scotsman' has no doubt been overused in the motorsport context but our use of 'Flyer' in the title of a spectacular DVD featuring a very fast Scot has other reasoning behind it this time. The programme features the fastest on-bike camera lap yet recorded (up until the 1991 TT anyway) - in this case Steve Hislop at over 120 mph average riding his Honda Britain RC30 V-Four during practice for the 1990 F1 TT. This is the first time that such a viewpoint has been obtained at racing speeds and boy does it show some activity at the front end! Yes we think...
